Profile:
Joined Ferraro Choi in April of 1996 as Project Architect/Manager for the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station Modernization project, and became Principal/Vice President in 2003. Formerly the Director of Operations/Vice President of The CJS Group Architects (1981 – 1996). Mr. Brooks obtained his Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1982, and became licensed in 1984. Mr. Brooks’ range of experience and expertise includes research facilities, historic renovation, and sustainable architecture with an emphasis on energy efficiency. Mr. Brooks has been a speaker in national conferences, and has authored a number of published technical papers having to do with his experience with designing remote research facilities in Antarctica. Mr. Brooks is the Architect of Record for the Hawaii Gateway Energy Center, which achieved LEED Platinum certification in 2005.
